Removing Students from Sections

This help article outlines the steps to remove students with no enrollments from sections.

1. Navigate to your section, and to the “Learners” tab.

2. Locate the student you would like to remove from your section and click on the 3 dots on the right-hand side of their name.

3. Click on “Remove student from section”.

4. Confirm this action by clicking “Remove [Student First Name] from section” in the pop-up box.

5. If successfully removed, a small dialogue box will pop-up in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen confirming that the student has been removed from your section.

a. This student is not permanently deleted from the roster -> you can still find this student under ‘All sections”.

Note: If your student still has enrollments, you will need to remove these before removing this student from your section. You will receive the following error on the bottom-right corner of your screen if you try to do so without moving or removing enrollments.

To move remove enrollments:

1. Click on the student’s profile from the “Learners” tab on the “Roster” page.

2. Under “Enrollments”, click on the three dots on the right-hand side of the course name and click “Remove enrollment”.

3. Repeat until all enrollments are removed.

Please note that if removed enrollments cannot be recovered.
