You can easily generate a student’s progress report in two ways from the Educator dashboard. Follow the steps below:

Option 1: If you want a full report that includes all of a student’s enrollments, you can generate it directly from the Roster tab:

Step 1: Navigate to the Roster

  • Go to the Roster tab in the Educator dashboard.

Step 2: Select a Learner

  • Click the three dots (•••) next to the student’s name.

Step 3: Generate the Report

  • Select "Generate Progress Report." A PDF report covering all enrollments will begin downloading automatically.

Step 4: Select Which View

In the popup, you will see 3 options.

The Attempted Score will show the cumulative grade of all submitted work. So, if a student only completed 80% of a 100 point course, the score would be x/80 instead of x/100 in the Attempted Score section.

The Current Score calculates the grade out of the total number of points in a given course, and marks any missing assignments as 0, based on the pacing.

If the student only completed about 80% of a 100 point course, and is scoring 100% on all of the submitted assignments, BUT they are supposed to be at 90% progress, the score sees that the total points should be out of 90 [90% of the course]. So in this example, the current score would be 80/90.

If the student is working ahead of pacing, the denominator of the Current Score will be the same as the attempted score.

The Projected Final Score option calculates the grade out of the total number of points in a given course, and marks any missing assignments as 0 through the rest of the course. So, if a student only completed 80% of the course, and is scoring 100% on all of the submitted assignments, the final score would be 80/100 = 80%

The attempted score would be 80/80 = 100% in this example.

Step 5: Download the Report

  • The report will automatically begin downloading as a PDF to your device.

  • You’ll find the file named something like: Progress-Report-[StudentName]-[Date].pdf.

Option 2: If you only need a report for one course.

Step 1: Navigate to the Roster

  • From the Educator view, select Roster in the left-hand navigation menu.

Step 2: Select a Learner

  • Once on the Roster page, make sure you’re under the Learners tab.

  • Use the search bar or scroll to find the student whose report you need.

  • Click on their name to open their student profile.

Step 3: Choose the Course

  • Inside the student profile, locate the Enrollments section.

  • Select the course you’d like to generate a report for by clicking on the row.

Step 4: Generate the Report

  • On the course details page, scroll to find the ā€œGenerateā€ dropdown just below the Course Progress bar.

  • Click the Generate button and select ā€œProgress Reportā€ from the dropdown menu.

Step 5: Download the Report

  • The report will automatically begin downloading as a PDF to your device.

  • You’ll find the file named something like: Progress-Report-[StudentName]-[Date].pdf.

šŸ” Tip: You can filter by section under the Roster tab if you want to only include enrollments from a specific section.
