1. Navigate to the Roster Page
From the main menu, select "Roster."
Choose the relevant section under "All Sections."
Click on the target student's row.
2. Select the Student's Course

3. Click on the 3 dots on the right hand side of the screen.
A dropdown will appear, as shown in the screenshot. Select "Mark Complete"
4. Confirm Completion
Additional Notes about Marking a Course Complete
If a student has a pending grade, you will not be able to mark the course as complete. If you want to request expedited grading, please reach out to the support chat, that is live from 6am - 6pm PST.
You can mark a course as complete even if the student has not completed all of the assignments. Here are a few scenarios where you might want to do this:
If your student is taking a course for Partial Credit, you (as the educator or counselor) can waive the course completion. Our system will still report that the course is incomplete.
If your student is no longer enrolled at Subject or is taking a leave, but you still want to save their progress, you can "save" their progress by marking it as complete. This lets us know that the seat is inactive and that student will not count towards your school's enrollment limit for the billing cycle.
If it's the end of the semester and they have not completed the course
If you accidentally mark a course as complete, you will have to reach out to [email protected] and we will unlock it from our side.
Course completion will NOT automatically occur when course progress reaches 100% You can mark a course as complete, or you can request assistance from our support team.
Marking courses as complete will help you, your student and the Subject team stay organized.
Marking a course as complete will remove it from a student's active courses. The student will no longer be able to make changes to their work. You and the student will still be able to view the course content and scores.
We can archive completed enrollments to get inactive or old students off our your roster.
Generating Completion Certificate:
We have a new feature that allows you to generate completion reports for courses marked as complete.
The dropdown will change to offer new options. Select "Generate Completion Certificate."
In the popup, you will see 2 options. The Attempted Score will show the cumulative grade of all submitted work. So, if a student only completed about 80% of the course, the score would be x/256 instead of x/320 in the Attempted Score section.
The Final Score option calculates the grade out of the total number of points in a given course, and marks any missing assignments as 0. So, if a student completed 80% of the course, and is scoring 100% on all of the submitted assignments, the final score will mark all of the assignments in the missing part of the course as 0's, effectively dropping the grade to 80% for Final Score. The attempted score would be 100% in this example.
