Hybrid Integration (SSO + Manual Enrollment Management)
What It Is
Subject connects with your SSO provider (including Clever or ClassLink) for authentication only, while user accounts sync from your SIS and enrollment management stays manual in the platform.
How It Works
Users: Sync from your SIS on the next scheduled sync — not instant, so allow time (often a few hours) after a student is added. Your SSO provider (Clever/ClassLink) handles login only and does not provide rostering data.
Login: Students/staff use SSO credentials via dedicated login link
Enrollments: Staff manually add students to courses in Subject
Passwords: Managed by district SSO system

Adding a New Student:
Student account created via SIS sync (on the next scheduled sync, not instantly)
Staff manually enrolls student in courses in Subject & enrollments are created in real time
Student logs in via SSO link (no password setup needed) — note that being able to log in via SSO does not by itself mean the student's account has synced into Subject's Roster; that depends on the SIS sync.
