The Educator Homepage has a new look! We've made it easier than ever to see how your students are doing and take action all from a single screen. The redesigned homepage replaces the previous static layout with engaging stats widgets and an action-based queue so teachers can quickly answer: who needs help, and what do I do?

All of the existing functionality you're used to is still there, this update only adds to it.

What's New

Quick Stats

At the top of your homepage, three at-a-glance widgets give you a snapshot of your students:

  • Active vs. Inactive Students: See how many students were active this week compared to last week.

  • Pacing Tracker: For schools with pacing enabled, this shows how many students are on track, one week behind, or two or more weeks behind. If pacing is not enabled for your school, a progress distribution is shown instead.

  • Score Distribution: A breakdown of how your students' scores are trending across coursework.

Action Feed

Below the Quick Stats, you'll find your Action Feed, a queue of students who need your attention, each with a one-click resolution so you can act without navigating away from the homepage. The feed is organized into tabs:

  • All: Every student across all action types in one combined view.

  • Unblock: Students who have failed their end-of-topic quiz and are out of attempts (applies if Score Based Progression is enabled). You can move the student forward or grant another attempt directly from this card.

  • Unlock Quiz: Students who have reached a locked quiz or test. Unlock it for them in one click.

  • Review AI Flags: Students whose recent assignments have been flagged for AI usage or plagiarism for your review.

  • Celebrate: Students who have completed a course and are ready to be marked complete. Mark them complete right from the homepage.

  • Follow Up: When Student Check-In is enabled, students who have flagged a difficult day will appear here. Tapping the card opens a private message to that student through Subject's messaging feature.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my school doesn't use pacing?
The Pacing Tracker widget will not appear. Instead, you'll see a progress distribution showing how far along students are in their courses.

Does the Action Feed replace any existing functionality?
No, it only adds to it. All of the actions available in the feed were already possible in the platform; the homepage now surfaces them in one place so you don't have to hunt for them.
