What Is the Learner View?

The Learner View allows you to experience a course as a student would. It's especially useful for:

  • Reviewing lesson videos

  • Printing blank copies of assignments

  • Navigating the course interface

Steps to Access the Learner View

  1. Log In to the Educator Portal
Visit app.subject.com and sign in with your educator credentials.

  2. Navigate to the Learner Site
Click on "Learner Site" located in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

Note: If you are in a school that is Fully Integrated with Subject, you'll need to enroll yourself in a course through your District's SIS. Please reach out to your District's IT contact in order to get yourself enrolled in a class so you can experience the Subject courses like your students do. If you are in a Hybrid Integration, you can follow the below steps to enroll yourself.

  3. Enroll in a Course
If you're accessing the Learner View for the first time, you'll need to enroll in a course. Click on "Explore Courses" to browse available options.

  4. Select a Course
Choose the course you want to view. In this example, we’ll select AP Art History A, but it’s best to enroll in the same course your students are taking so you can follow along and review the material with them.

  5. View Course Details
Click on "View Course Details" to see more information about the course.

  6. Enroll in the Course
Click on "Enroll" to register for the course.

  7. Access the Lesson
Click on "Go to Assignment" to begin the course.

  8. Experience the Learner View
Congrats! You're now in the Learner View, where you can explore the course as a student would.
