Overview:

From the Educator Portal, the Subject platform offers the ability to lock assignments. Locking assignments can be utilized to control access. Locking provides educators with the ability to administer tests, limit access outside of class, and customize coursework.

1) Open Course Manager

Click the Course Manager tab in the left navigation bar.

2) Select the section and course

Click the section and course you would like to make adjustments to

Tip:

The app will default to All Sections. This will change the locking of the course across ALL sections. This is primarily used for setting up new school accounts and is NOT recommended for day-to-day use. Changing the locking while you're in All Sections will affect other teacher's sections.

3) Continue to Locking in the course

Once in the "Locking tab, locate the course

4) Choose the Lesson and Assignment

  • Clicking the lesson on the left hand side will lock the entire lesson. Select the action you would like to make.

  • Using the drop down arrow on the right hand side will allow you to select specific assignments that you would like to lock.

5) Save your changes

Review the changes you are making then click "Save changes" or "Cancel changes".

TIP: For ease, you can choose to lock all topics, all quizzes and all exams. Click the arrow next to the top checkbox, select from the menu, click Lock Selected then Save Changes.

Unlock Assignment(s)

  1. To unlock, follow the same steps as above, but select 'Unlock Selected' and then click 'Save Changes'.
