Subject is dedicated to upholding academic integrity and providing partners with visibility into instances of plagiarism and cheating on our platform. This article details Subject’s multi-faceted approach in enforcing our Academic Integrity Policy. Adherence to this policy ensures an equitable learning experience for all Subject learners.

As a part of their review & scoring process, Subject’s Course Facilitators (CFs) run all authentic assignment submissions through approved plagiarism software (turnitin.com, etc) to ensure content originality. While this process is currently manual in nature, Subject’s Product Team is working to integrate plagiarism software directly into our platform that will be able to auto-review submitted work and detect instances of cheating, including the use of AI tools like Chat-GPT.

Any instances of plagiarism or cheating are flagged to Subject’s success team, who then escalate issues appropriately to school or district stakeholders. Together, the Subject success manager will work with these stakeholders to determine the best course of action. Subject wants to see all of its learners succeed, and is able to accommodate assignment retakes if the partner deems it appropriate.
